Gmcs... One of the best phases of my life

Well a lot of my friends are already mad at me for rambling about Gmcs for days and nights together...  So I wanted to do a blog on that because it was one of the best phases of my life..  I actually feel that this course should be extended for a month rather than having it just for 15 days.  Well for the starters Gmcs stands for General Management and Communication Skills. Its a mandatory participation course for all the CA students, its like a mini MBA. Since we CA students are not able to enjoy their respective cdollege lives, this as an opportunity to relive your college life and yes Statutory Warning: If you really want to enjoy Gmcs you have to be an extrovert and outgoing.
Okay when the course was about to start I was not going through an amazing phase of my life and had a feeling that it was going to be good but never in my dreams had I expected it to be so amazing. Here are some lovely lessons that Gmcs taught me..
1. Don't close yourself up because you trusted someone wrong...  Cause when you do that you're also letting go all the people who genuinely care for you...
2. Life is what you make it...
3. A positive frame of mind can let you achieve whatever you want...
4. Learn to say no when you don't want to say a yes...
5. Never let people take you for granted...
6. Be yourself, don't pretend...  People like to see the real you
7. Its okay to behave like kids, be crazy and do things that you did as a kid once in a while (screw what people think of you)
8. Teamwork... It does wonders
9. Oh yes fight your fears and they become your strengths...
10. Love yourself first and people will love you too and you are the master of your own happiness... Don't tie up your happiness to other people...
11. Failure is how you take it... I got my CA final results amidst Gmcs, I couldn't clear unfortunately but I was very calm and I realised success doesn't make you a better person but how you handle failure does, and I can say that I'm proud of myself for the way I handled things that day :-)
12. Do whatever you want to... Because people are gonna talk about you either ways...
13. Nobody can hurt you without your permission...
14. And sometimes you don't need a lifetime to make friends you just meet people and strike the right chord with them...
15. Don't be shy,  just open up and you'll realise how beautiful life is...
I went there alone and made 40 odd friends...  Memorable indeed..   Whenever I think about those times it just brings a big smile on my face. It won't be wrong to call it one of the best phases of my life. A special thanks to Radhika mam, Tajinder mam,  Vidyanand Joshi sir and Pravin sir for making us feel so comfortable and making our journey worthwhile. Actually Gmcs bought back the old me..  The person I was 5 years ago... Who gave zero fucks about what others thought and who didn't need a reason to be happy, that is why it is so close to my heart... :-) These memories are going to be cherished forever.
Hum rahe yaa naa rahe yaad aayenge ye pal - This song would be apt to describe the Centurion's journey at Siescoms Nerul... :-)
