The Second Love

Image
'Mera pehla pyaar adhura reh gaya iffat bi mera pehla pyaar adhura reh gaya', this dialogue has been stuck in my head since I watched Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for the first time when I was 9. Every time i have watched this scene I have cried along-with Anjali. I'm sure you did too. No doubt it is one of my all time favourite movies, but now that I think of it; it doesn't make sense. I have always seen people dejected and sobbing about their first love. So today lets talk about second love cause 'first love' is "OVERHYPED" First love is magical and enchanting. There is a lot of excitement about everything that surrounds your first relationship. You are young, wild, carefree and oh yes, you also have time in your hand. You're thrilled about every little thing; be it the first movie.. the first time you held hands... the first kiss.. the first outing... You have a list of all the firsts that happened.. Of course there are also the first fight...

Expectations v Disappointment

expectation ɛkspɛkˈteɪʃ(ə)n/ noun 1 . a strong belief that something will happen or be the case. "reality had not lived up to expectations" disappointment dɪsəˈpɔɪntm(ə)nt/ noun sadness or displeasure caused by the non-fulfilment of one's hopes or expectations. To begin with, when you meet a person for the first time, he is just another guy/girl in your life. You never know they are going to be special (maybe a friend or a partner) to you. But gradually you develop a bond. You crack silly jokes with them; you have an un-explainable connec...

Life lessons you learn in your early twenties...

Image
Well twenties is the age when people expect you to turn mature all of a sudden..  At this point in life you go through a change in everything..  You get out of college, start your job or internship..  Loose touch with your buddies with whom you used to spend hours together at one point of time .. You get a different perspective about life.. You start seeing things differently..  New friends new relationships, life becomes a roller coaster ride in your early twenties with a couple of highs and lows..  So here I'm just jotting down the life lessons that I learnt in my early twenties... 1. You realise who your real friends are.. You filter out all your friends..  You end up having only a few close friends and you realise that what matters is not how many pals you have but how they actually are.. And these friends who stick with you are going to be with you forever. 2. You stop giving a shit about people leaving cause you realise people who want to stay a...

Gmcs... One of the best phases of my life

Image
Well a lot of my friends are already mad at me for rambling about Gmcs for days and nights together...  So I wanted to do a blog on that because it was one of the best phases of my life..  I actually feel that this course should be extended for a month rather than having it just for 15 days.  Well for the starters Gmcs stands for General Management and Communication Skills . Its a mandatory participation course for all the CA students, its like a mini MBA. Since we CA students are not able to enjoy their respective cdollege lives, this as an opportunity to relive your college life and yes Statutory Warning: If you really want to enjoy Gmcs you have to be an extrovert and outgoing . Okay when the course was about to start I was not going through an amazing phase of my life and had a feeling that it was going to be good but never in my dreams had I expected it to be so amazing. Here are some lovely lessons that Gmcs taught me.. 1. Don't close yourself up because you tr...
