The eight lettered 'F' word

Alert: If you're a male who with a sense of entitlement, or belittle the things done by the women in your lives then kindly leave...  You're not going to like what you're going to read ahead... 

You're a girl, you aren't supposed to cuss. Ohh don't speak too loudly, what will people say. Watch what you wear...  Be home on time... My favorite cliche - "Nobody will marry you if your rotis are not round." Everyone has heard this at some point or other in thier lives, if they're a girl and especially if you're from India...

All the women at some point have thought how different life would've been if you were a guy.

A lot of people have a problem with the 'F' word not the four letter F word but the eight letter F word!! Yes  I am talking about "FEMINISM". Why do people hate this word?

Why do we spend on son's education and daughter's marriage?

Why do we judge a woman if she cusses or smokes or drinks? Worse if she is seen doing all three at the same time. Why is it considered normal when a guy does it? 

It's cool when a man has female friends. Why is a woman's character questioned when she has guy friends?

Why is a woman judged and labelled as having zero concern for the family and the same is considered as hardworking when a guy does it?

I'm sure all of you must've watched Devil Wears Prada and have admired Miranda. Like  Anne Hathaway says, nobody would've had a problem if Miranda was a guy, given the success for the way she treats her employees... 

Why is a guy allowed to go out and socialize, but a woman is made to feel guilty for having her "ME" time?

Then why does the society expect the women in the family to cook when there is a gathering at home?Is it only a woman's responsibility to take care of the kids and cater to the family? Why does she have to serve the family and eat in the end? 

If the kid is sick or unwell why is the mother always supposed to take care of it. Why do dad's and others get to only do the fun things with babies? Why does the mom always have to be there to clean the susu potty!!

Its funny how a woman is expected to sacrifice her career and everything she likes to take care of her family but the same is not expected from the male member of the family. 

Every time a marriage breaks why is the woman considered responsible?

Why does the society judge a divorcee female but not a divorcee male?

Women do not want to be above men, also they definitely don't want to be below men, we just want to be treated equally.

So next time before calling 'anyone' a feminist, or making fun of feminism please think a hundred times, are you doing right by the women in your lives?

After all feminism is about equality right?

Ps: To all the women reading this. You have gone through a lot of crap and you do not have to live by the societal norms and not feel guilty about having fun and being happy. After all... Feminism IS about EQUALITY
